It is no longer a big challenge to reach Datca. Once you could count 372 bends between Marmaris and Datca. In the last decade the road has been widened and has become a lot more comfortable to travel on. You can no longer count 372 bends! The road is asphalt and wide. Once you reach Marmaris you can take one of the hourly midi buses and you will be in Datca in 90 minutes. The scenery is so wild and beautiful with the green forests and blue bays that you will be so busy trying to take it all in that you wont feel the time.

 BY ROAD

Between Datça-Marmaris is 72 km . From Izmir to Datca it is 350 km . once you reach Marmaris you need to take a midi bus to continue to Datca. Several bus companies have direct bus services from Istanbul and Ankara to Datca.

İstanbul-Datça: 955 km , Ankara-Datça: 830 km , Bodrum-Datça: 245 km

 BY SEA

There is a ferry boat service between Istanbul and Izmir every Friday. You can spend the night, rest and enjoy a ferry trip. Once you reach Izmir it is a 3-4 hour journey to Datca. Between June and October ferries operate between Bodrum and Datca Koreman Harbor . Ferries cross both ways at 09.00 and 17.00 hours. Motorbikes, cars and caravans are allowed on the ferry.

You can fly from Istanbul and Ankara to Bodrum and Dalaman Airports . There are also International flights to both airports now. Dalaman Airport is 170 km to Marmaris and there is a bus service available. There are flights available to Bodrum according to the ferry times to Datca.
